It's everything you want in a fine art matte paper - acid free, cotton rag, rigid and satisfyingly thick at 308 g/m2 (its also available in other weights, and double sided). It's surface is relatively smooth, not 100% perfectly smooth like a hot pressed paper but smooth enough that it's very, very slight texture does not interfere with image detail. It is a little more expensive than some papers, but in this case you certainly get what you pay for - a paper of superb quality capable of producing excellent photographic results that will outlast us all, when combined with the latest pigment inksets such as the Epson Ultrachrome inks.
If you're new to fine art matte papers, or papers other than the standard Epson range, this is a great place to start. We use it for all our popular printing services.
