It's 100% high grade alpha cellulose and has a light semi-gloss finish that is quite similar to a traditional fibre based paper. Where Crane have gone for a conservative approach with respect to conservation issues (ie no optical brigteners), Hahnemuhle have gone for an approach that favours maximum contrast range, meaning this paper offers the maximum in punch and saturation.

This paper is Hahnemuhle's answer to Museo Silver Rag. Museo is a fantastic paper and would be hard to beat.
I was somewhat skeptical when I first saw the paper. It only just barely qualifies as a semi-gloss. It's more of a matte paper with just a hint of gloss thrown in. I have to say, after my very first black and white print, it was simply breathtaking. Stunning tonal range, deep, deep blacks and detail so good, I had to reprint it with less sharpening applied.
So I threw a very colourful image at it next. While not the same impact as the black and white, it was a truly impressive colour image.
This is now my favourite semi-gloss paper. If you demand razor sharpness, this won't disappoint (although you should try Chromajet Bright White Metallic if you don't mind something a bit more "plasticy").
The only downside I have, is that this is a cellulose wood fibre paper with optical brighteners added - so I have a nagging doubt about it's archival qualities.
I highly recommend trying this product.
