Product Reviews

  1. Chromajet wins easily

Posted by Paul Stevens on 10th Aug 2010

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this paper and it was awfully hard to wait while Jeremy did a custom profile for the Epson Pro 3800 for me. I was dying to try it out.

When I finally got the profile installed, I wasn't disappointed. I have printed several A3 images, both in colour and black and white.

I must say, you have to look closely to actually see the metallic effect on some images, but the BIG surprise was how sharp everything looks and the huge range of tonality. On portrait shots, I could see detail right down to every hair on the model's head.

One image of a subject with a cello, had such rich tones, I think it actually looked better than the "real life" cello.

I would highly recommend this paper not just if you're not only looking for an alternative to the venerable Kodak Endura, but if you want something that will produce images with ultra sharp edges. I think this will produce stunning architectural shots, although I haven't tried this as yet.
