I am very, very often asked to take bookings for talks, seminars, & private 1:1 training.  I have tried to do so whenever possible, however of late I have been a little overwhelmed and am finding it impossible to juggle all the things I need to do with the extra work load of talks, training and seminars (which take considerable prep time, as well as the time for the actual talk).

At the moment I have two young kids (one very young!), and I am also actively involved in a behind the scenes plan of process improvement here at Image Science.  This, on top of my day to day workload, is just a bit too much at the moment, so I have decided to take a step back from extra-curricular activities for a while. I imagine I will resume taking bookings later, but I am not really sure quite when and what yet, as I do want to focus on some other activities for a while.

It's very flattering to be asked to talk/offer training, and I do appreciate your asking.  I am keeping records of the people who ask but I am not able to say yes to, and if/when I take bookings again I do plan to contact people to let them know.

In the meantime, do use our abundant free educational material, especially the Digital Fine Print book.  It's all designed to print out nicely as well, and you are very welcome to do so if they prefer to learn 'offline'.  Just go to File->Print in your browser and it should come out formatted quite well with any luck!

Recommended Trainers

There are really only two people we recommend for training in things digital - Les Walkling and David Harridine.

Les Walkling is probably Australia's greatest Imaging educator.  With decades of experiencce at RMIT and also through the Centre for Contemporary Photography, as well as privately, Les has educated a vast number of Australian image makers on all things digital.  Highly recommended!
