Jeremy Daalder - Director

I created Image Science in March of 2001, as a side business to my photography. Over time Image Science has grown far beyond its humble beginnings and has become my main area of business. While I still do some commercial photography, the greater proportion of my time is now spent in helping others achieve their goals in imaging, through the provision of quality services and the supply of the most beautiful materials available in the world today.

A significant proportion of my time is spent in teaching, both privately to photographers, printers and studios, and previously at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), where I taught the Digital Fine Print course as part of the Commercial and Illustrative Photography degree program.

I have a clear philosophy on image making that I teach and work by, resting on two basic ideas. The first is that pre-visualisation and clear thinking about subject is of paramount importance in achieving your image making goals. The second is that mastery of craft (and use of the very best materials) forms the basis of good artistic expression. Without knowing what you want to achieve, and without learning and practicing the technical skills required to achieve it, you will never produce what you hope for.

Image Science has earned itself a real reputation for quality, value and exceptional levels of service, and this is very important to me. I believe that a business such as this thrives on co-operation with its clients, on an open and helpful attitude, and on good humour. I like to think our clients really enjoy their time working with us, and that we provide excellent value to them. Many of our clients have been with us since the beginning and have become good friends. We look forward to many more years of working together!

(P.S. Don't expect to see me in a suit when you come visit us - one of the nice things about owning your own business is you can relax a little in your own office!!)

Amy Daalder - Director

Amy joined Image Science in March 2006 (although she was helping out for many years before this around the edges of her busy career!). When not scanning, printing, or printer profiling, she focuses her efforts on the business side of Image Science - marketing, retail and the financials.

Her legendary expertise in Excel, and her keen attention to detail, are skills much appreciated in the office here. As are all the yummy lunches she makes, the cups of tea, her sunny disposition, and her willingness to laugh at my jokes. She even puts up with my taste in music, AND lets me buy expensive electronic toys!

Her background is in marketing, having previously held positions including Circulation Marketing Manager for the Herald Sun, and Marketing Manager for Repco Australia. She's won all sorts of industry awards, too!

Leyna Jessie Daalder - Chief Babbler

Leyna joined the Image Science team just over two years ago.

She is clearly the most productive member of the Image Science team if noise made and general energy level are anything to go by.

 Kylie Paxevanos - Office Manager

Kylie joined Image Science in April 2008 as our new office all rounder / receptionist / retail manager - basically, she's the engine of the company.  She does pretty much everything around here and when you ring you'll most likely be talking to her.

Kylie is friendly, helpful, good humoured, efficient, polite, kind and copes well with the very hectic office environment we have here.  She does so without complaint and always with a smile on her face and we're very lucky to have her!

Peter Daniells - Production Manager

Peter Daniells joined us in September 2009.  He's settled in very nicely and has come up to speed quickly with all the services we offer.  Already he has improved our turn-around time to an average of well less than 24 hours for normal sized jobs, and his skills with the coffee machine are much valued as well.

Peter is conscientious, friendly, and (like Kylie) does some pretty cool artwork of his own.  The office is a more enjoyable and productive place for his presence and we can't ask for more than that!
