The first step in submitting your order is to use our online scanning products to pre-lodge all the details of your order.
Just add the appropriate service products to your cart, change quantities etc, then go through the easy and fast checkout process. We'll then have a copy of your order, and once the job actually arrives with us (details here for sending/visits) - we will start to process your order and you will get status update emails as the order progresses through our queue and is return dispatched.
(Note we won't actually put your payment through until the job physically arrives at Image Science and we check you've done everything correctly).
Please do not supply us with uncut rolls of film! We will have to charge you a film cutting fee.
For scanning on the Imacon Flextight 949 - we can only scan images on the edges of short strips - so make sure your strips are 4 or less images in length (35mm), 2 or less in length (all medium formats up to 6 by 12cm), or singles (6 by 17cm and 4 by 5 inch). Singles are OK too, however leave as much rebate as you can around the edges.
For scanning on the Nikon - all film must be mounted 35mm positive film.
You can arrange drop off and pick up of your order by making contact with us and arranging an appointment. We are not a retail store, so please do not arrive unannounced - it may be that no one is in the office, and there's no point wasting a trip over!
Please see this page.
Pack your film well! To date, with thousands of orders, we have not had one single instance of damage or loss, so be assured you can safely send film through the mail.
The trick is Registered Post and good packaging. Most of our clients use stiff board (eg foamcore) to keep their film flat, wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a Postpak box. We ship orders back in the same packaging wherever possible (saves the world a little bit each time), or if not possible, then packed to the same or better standard as the order arrived.
If you're in a terrible rush, you can jump the queue. There is a 20% price loading for this service. Your scan(s) will be scanned immediately the scanner is next available, and typically you can pick your order up later the same day.
This allows you to essentially jump the queue with your urgent work (eg folio work), but you need to remember that everyone is in a hurry and we generally service jobs in the order we get them.
We will only agree to do this if:
