Before sending us files to print, please make sure you have followed all our file set up guidelines.
In particular, please check:
- Have you flattened all layers?
- Are you sending us an appropriate file format? (TIFF, JPG, PSD, PDF only please - No Illustrator or InDesign files will be accepted, and PDFs accepted only reluctantly, we are not responsible for issues that may arise from improperly set up PDFs and if in doubt please supply your images as TIFFs!)
- Have you laid out your file on an appropriate canvas (A4, A3, or A3+ sheet, or 24"/44" roll print), and are your images within the printable areas if you are supplying sheet prints?
Please send us clear instructions with your file(s):
- Write your instructions clearly in an email, text file, or PDF if sending your files electronically
- Absolutely all orders (including repeat orders!) must include at least:
- The Paper Type for all prints (not 'same as last time' but one of our actual paper types, please)
- The Size for each and every file to be printed
- The Quantity of prints of each file
- Full Contact Details (phone number and email address at a minimum)
The size you specify should be one of our sheets sizes (A4, A3, A3+), or the roll print size (24 by 15, 44 by 30 etc) and NOT the size of the artworks within the page (remember you must lay your images on to correctly sized canvases as per the instructions here)
- Do not assume we will remember any details from previous orders!
(We do mind boggling numbers of prints!)
- Again, include full contact details with every order
If sending us multiple files electronically:
- Zip up all your image(s) and instructions into one file. Please don't send us 10 files one by one, it takes us much longer to process your order and your order may well be delayed.
Once you are sure you have your files correct...
- You can send us files electronically by going to our DropBox. (Try and keep your files sizes below 500Mb if possible. If you're file is very large, please save it as a high quality (10+) JPG rather than an uncompressed file like a TIFF - there will be no visible difference in print quality and you will save us all a lot of time!).
- You can mail us your files on CD/DVD
- You can bring your files to our office on CD/DVD, USB Stick, iPod etc. We have a client machine you can use to copy your files to our system (and to soft proof your files).
