All prices listed below are inclusive of GST and disc burning fees (small jobs) or for very large jobs (well over 100GB) we supply your images on a portable hard drivve that you can keep.

If you have a large job (over $500), please contact us to get a specific quote for your order - we can offer discounts for very large jobs.

Film formats

We can scan all popular film formats on the Flextight 949.On the Nikon we can only scan 35mm mounted transparency film (slides).

A note on print sizes as listed below - the tables below contain approximate file sizes you can expect from our scans. All the figures for print sizes are for 300 PPI prints. These print sizes are very conservative - with a good, sharp original, you can make good prints larger than the sizes listed here (most labs used 200 or 250 PPI printers like the Lamda and Pegasus machines).

35mm Scans - Premium Service

• The Flextight 35mm film holder holds the film extremely flat, a by-product of this is that it crops into the image area by around 1mm
• We can scan at 2500 or 5000 PPI

 35mm Scans - Bulk Slide Service

• All scans are 16 bit scans
• Digital ICE3 dust and scratch removal
• If your mounts are unusual, or cardboard, glass, damaged, or bent, please call us to discuss
• Get in touch to discuss bulk rates if you have a very large job (more than 200 scans)
• Minimum job fee of $25 (5 scans)

 XPan (24 by 65mm) (Panoramic 35mm)

• We can scan at 3150 or 6300 PPI (true optical resolutions)

6 by 4.5 cm Scans

• We can scan at 2000 or 4000 PPI (true optical resolutions)

6 by 6 cm (& 6 by 7, 6 by 9)

• We can scan at 1600 or 3200 PPI (true optical resolutions)
• The files and print sizes below are for 6 by 6 cm film, 6 by 7 and 6 by 9 are proportionally larger

If you need a bigger scan from 6 by 6 and 6 by 7 (not 6 by 9!), we can do it in two sections using the 6 by 4.5 cm holder, and we'll lock expsoure between the two scans, making for a very easy merge in Photoshop (5 to 10 mins if you know what you're doing). We only offer this service at the maximum resolution of 4000 PPI, and at 48 bit. Each 'double scan' is $60 - the final file size of the merged image will be up around the 600 MBmark (you'll need a decent computer!) and will print to around 32 - 36 inches at 300 PPI.

6 by 12 cm Scans

• We can scan at 1600 or 3200 PPI (true optical resolutions)

6 by 17 cm Scans

• We can scan at 1600 or 3200 PPI (true optical resolutions)

4 by 5 inch Scans

• We can scan at 1020 or 2040 PPI (true optical resolutions)
• Flextight holder may crop about 1mm all around the fim depending on your holders

If you need a bigger scan from 4 by 5, we can do it in two sections using the 6 by 12cm holder, and we'll lock expsoure between the two scans, making for a very easy merge in Photoshop (5 to 10 mins if you know what you're doing). We only offer this service at the maximum resolution of 3200 PPI, and at 48 bit. Each 'double scan' is $60 - the final file size of the merged image will be up around the one gigabyte mark (you'll need a decent computer!) and will print to around 50 inches at 300 PPI.
