This article is for those of you who took advantage of the recent special offer on Eye One Displays and received an Eye One LT with an upgrade code.

Unfortunately, there's no real instructions in the box on how to do the actual upgrade, so here's a quick guide:

  • Use the enclosed CD to install ‘Eye One Diagnostics’.
  • Run this program once installed and in the Service menu  you will find an entry ‘license update’.  Choose this, and into the box you are given enter the code on the sticker on the front of your Eye One box.
  • Now, you need to install the latest version of Eye One Match (3.6.2 at time of writing) – this is available for download at www.xrite.com.  This is the actual software you use to do your calibration.
  • Once you have installed this software, run it, and your Eye One LT will behave (and indeed is) exactly the same as an Eye One Display V2.
  • You only need to do this once, as the upgrade is stored in the device itself - no need to repeat this is you use multiple computers.
