Retouching Service
We provide a variety of retouching services, from simple print-ready retouching through to more complicated grading, head swapping, montage, and exotic types of retouching.

Print Ready Retouching
The print ready retouching is charged at $60/hour. A minimum of 4 hours is required for this service.
Print Ready Retouching includes:
- cropping/rotation as required
- complete dust and scratch removal at 100% pixels views
- setting of final black and white points
- basic colour balancing such as warming or cooling.
It's difficult to give an exact estimate without seeing a particular image, but in most cases 5 or more images can be retouched in an hour (A4 sizes). For larger images, say 6 by 17 scans at 900+ Mb, it may be more like a half hour per image.
Advanced Retouching
More exotic retouching, such as extracting and montaging, digital grading, head swapping, etc, is charged at $125/hour and performed exclusively by Jeremy Daalder, the Director of Image Science.
Before any job, an estimate will be provided after extended consultation on your requirements.
Regular Retouching / Raw Processing Work
If you need someone to help you on a regular basis (perhaps on site) with up to mid level retouching and RAW processing skills, or general digital photography tasks, we have a list of people who are looking for that sort of work here.
We can put you in touch with the most suitable/local of these people and you can arrange with them a mutually beneficial arrangement. We simply provide a basic matching service, with no fees (or responsibility!) taken.
In general, these people are image science clients, often second or third year photography students, or people running their own imaging business with some spare hours on their hands.
