These lights are, quite simply, the best lights in the world for the display of your photographs.
SoLux lights have a colour temperature and spectral output that is closest to the reference standard for lighting used in colour management systems today. Their CRI (Colour Rendering Index) is above 99 (with 100 being a theoretical 'perfect' maximum).
They are also the best lights for your work area, or print viewing area, as they're the closes match currently available to D50 lighting, so they make the whole process of colour management easier and more accurate.
Below you can see a comparison diagram comparing Solux lights to the spectral characteristic of the D50 Reference and the light source in a GTI print viewing booth (which uses a flourescent light source - you can see the odd spiky behaviour clearly).

Solux lighting is nearly universally recommended by people in the colour management industry and is the lighting used in major musems like the Van Gogh museum and the Guggenheim.
We offer the two most popular and appropriate Solux globes for use in colour management and display of photograpy, you simply need to choose from either 35 Watt of 50 Watt versions. If you're setting up task lighting, and the lights are not far from the prints, then 35w bulbs are porbably the best choice. If you're planning to use Solux bulbs as your room lighting, then probably the best choice is the 50w bulbs.

SoLux "Black Back" is a low voltage (12 volt) MR-16 bulb that reproduces the full color spectrum of natural daylight with ultra-low UV and IR and has no light coming out the back. No light coming out of the back means a purer field of light coming out the front!
