Fine Art Inkjet Papers
The Museo inkjet range was developed by Crane papers - the largest fine art paper company in the US. The range conforms to the highest archival standards (as defined by both the Library of Congress and the ISO) - all 100% cotton rag, internally buffered (to prevent long term environmental acidification), and containing no optical brighteners.
Their papers are optimised specifically for pigment inks (although dye inks can be used as well), and they feature a number of interesting options. The most exciting is Museo Silver Rag - the first 100% cotton rag, fully archival paper, that can accept the Photo Black ink when used with Epson Ultrachrome inkjet printers. The surface is a lustrous semi-gloss finish - very similar to Agfa classic fiber based paper and when printed on offers truly superb image quality - with amazing deep blacks and tremendous luminosity. Black and white prints look as good, if not better than, traditional fiber based darkroom prints, and colour prints have the rich feel of dye-transfer prints.
In 2007 Museo launch Museo Portfolio Rag - a clear competitor to Hahnemuhle's Photo Rag. For the first time in seven years we're able to say that Photo Rag has a serious competitor - indeed, it would be fair to say that Portfolio Rag is now the leader in terms of performance. It has: superb d-max for a matte paper, great gamut, attractive cotton texture, a stronger surface, and is brighter white than Photo Rag despite being 100% optical brightener free (unlike Photo Rag!). It's the ultimate gallery friendly, archival cotton rag paper and we're using it extensively here for our own printing work.
Museo Artists Cards are another beautiful product - affordably priced and simply superb quality, if you're looking to make some fine art cards they're well worth trying and come in a number of useful shapes and sizes.

Museo Silver Rag
(Often referred to as Crane Silver Rag)
An amazing new option for inkjet printing! Looks uncannily like Agfa classic fiber based black and white, while colour prints have the rich feel of dye-transfer prints. Museo Portfolio Rag
(Often referred to as Crane Portfolio Rag)
Museo's new archival matte paper is 100% cotton rag - and a serious alternative to something like Hahnemuhle's venerable Photo Rag, the king of this market.
Museo Portfolio Rag is very smooth (distinctly smoother than Photo Rag), and contains absolutely no optical brighteners. And it's is actually a little brighter in tone than Photo Rag!
Since Photo Rag first appeared years ago, many papers have tried to match it, but this is quite frankly the first serious alternative! Excellent colours and d-max bring great print quality to the table. Well worth a try!

Museo Maestro Canvas
Available in Matte and Gloss
Museo now offers two new canvas products, both particularly well suited to artwork reproduction purposes.
Offering excellent print quality and a medium heavy tooth (level of texture), they are both very heavy in weight (400 and 435 gsm!), giving them a real sense of quality. Their coating is water resistant so no further coating is needed - just print and sell!
The gloss canvas gives an oil/acrylic look immediately once printed. You can of course also print on the matte canvas and use various coating mediums for brush stroke effects etc, if this is what you need.
Currently only available in roll form.

Museo Artists Cards
Museo Artists Cards are an ideal way to use your photographic and fine art images, for greeting cards, invitations and promotional cards. These pre-scored cards are printable on both sides, each reproducing equally beautiful color and quality on this newly designed 220 gsm stock. Museo Artist Cards are manufactured to the same high standards and archival characteristics as the existing range of Museo papers. Museo Artist Cards are compatible with most photo realistic ink jet printers. Each package comes with matching envelopes.
