Ilford Papers
Ilford is of course very well known from the traditional darkroom days, but in recent years Ilford have become one of the biggest players in the digital printing market as well - Ilford Gallerie Smooth Pearl is the best selling inkjet paper in the world today - and for good reason as it's an excellent day to day paper.
The Ilford name has been synonymous with quality photographic papers for many decades now, and the future looks even brighter. They have a number of excellent resin coated papers and some interesting fine art papers as well. We've selected a few of the best to carry here at Image Science.
New in 2008: Ilford also have a new paper in the fibre based area that is very interesting - Ilford Galerie Fibre Silk. It's a wonderful paper - has slightly more sheen than the Harman paper and seems particularly suited to toned black and whites - a very high impact paper.
Please note all Ilford papers are compatible with pigment ink and dye ink printers with the exception of the Classic range - these papers have a swellable coating that will not accept pigment inks. Read more about ink receptive coatings here.

GALERIE Smooth Pearl Paper combines the excellent ‘Instant’ dry properties of a porous product with the elegant finish of a pearl print. The heavyweight base produces prints with excellent consistency and superb photographic quality. Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk

Ilford Galerie Smooth Fine Art
Photographers whose work includes fine art photography can choose GALERIE Smooth Fine Art Paper for high quality digital prints. The 100% rag, acid-free textured matt surface offers excellent image stability and like other papers in the Smooth range, has the flexibility of dye and pigment ink compatibility.
